The Doctors
Dr Brett Bolton is a third generation chiropractor. His grandparents were personal friends of Dr B. J. Palmer, the developer of Chiropractic. Chiropractic is responsible for the miraculous recovery of Dr Brett's father, Dr Stanley P. Bolton from infantile paralysis (polio). Hear Dr. Stanley Bolton's personal testimony here. As a consequence, Dr Brett's grandparents left their careers and decided to study at Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1934 as Doctors of Chiropractic and Philosophers of Chiropractic. They then traveled to Germany with Dr B. J. Palmer to perform upper cervical research. While spending six months in Germany obtaining the famous "wet specimen" and completing their research, it became increasingly evident that a world war was eminent so they decided to immigrate to Australia. After becoming settled in Australia, they sent Dr Brett's father, two aunties and uncle to Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Iowa, to study the science, philosophy and art of chiropractic. At one time, the Bolton's had established a network of 28 clinics in Australia. Dr Brett's father practiced chiropractic for 49 years in downtown Sydney. Dr Brett has two brothers and three sisters. His oldest brother, Philip, is a chiropractor and a renowned researcher with a Ph.D in neurophysiology from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Before his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr Brett received a Bachelor of Science from the University of New England (Australia) with a major in physiology. |
Dr's Brett and Sheri met at Palmer College of Chiropractic. They graduated in the same class with research honors in addition to their Doctorate in Chiropractic on October 18th, 1991. Dr Sheri Sherwood is a second generation chiropractor. Her parents, Dr Vernon R Sherwood and Dr Jeannette M Sherwood practiced in Seattle for 40 years. Dr Sheri has one sister and two brothers who are all Doctors of Chiropractic in the Seattle area. Within a week of graduating, Dr's Brett & Sheri were married. They moved to Australia and practiced for a year before deciding to settle in the Pacific Northwest. They have practiced together at Chiropractic USA since 1993. The doctors live in Hobart on acreage where they raise cattle and have a vegetable garden. They both enjoy the great outdoors. During respective seasons, you may find them foraging for wild mushrooms, skiing the local Cascade mountains or digging razor clams on Washington beaches. Dr Brett is an accomplished fly fisherman but don't ask him where his favorite holes are - he won't tell you. They are active members of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Maple Valley. |
